Gayatri Koolwal
Economist, The World Bank

Gayatri Koolwal is an economist at the World Bank.  She received her Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University in 2005, and her research focuses on distributional impacts of infrastructure and credit initiatives in developing countries.  She has also worked in the area of poverty measurement, most recently with the Center for Economic Opportunity in New York City on research related to urban poverty and the impact of urban policy interventions on poor communities.
