Brazilian, 58 years, graduation in Sociology, Master in Rural Development, Dr in Social Science, since 1986 is researcher at Research Technology Institute of São Paulo State, Brazil.

In 2002 started to work with nanotechnology and their social, environmental, economics and ethic impacts. 

In 2004 started research in the field of nanotechnology and agriculture.  Also in 2004  found  the Brazilian  Research  Network in  Nanotechnology, Society and  Environment  -  RENANOSOMA that have been  the coordinator until now .  2004- 2008 coordinated the International Nanotechnology, Society and Environment Seminar – SEMINANOSOMA. 

In november 2006 started to work with Public Engagement in Nanotechnology. In
January of 2009 start a weekly program "Nanotechnology Inside Out" in one tv by internet  (www.alltv.com.br)  every  Monday, 4pm to 5pm.   Have 5 booked printed about nanotechnology. 

Is member of International Sociological Association (ISA) Research Committee 23 "Science and Technology" and 24 "Environment and Society”; Latino America Sociological Association - ALAS and Brazilian Sociological Association - SBS.
Belongs to Sociologists Without Borders.
