Can Huang is a Research Fellow at United Nations University-MERIT and Maastricht University, The Netherlands. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Management from University of Aveiro, Portugal, an M.S. in Engineering and a B.A. in Economics from Renmin University of China, Beijing, China. His research interests include economics of innovation, industrial economics, and science and technology policy analysis. He published in Research Policy, Science and Public Policy, R&D Management, Scientometrics, and European Journal of Development Research. He is the author of China: Building an Innovative Economy, Chandos Publishing, the UK, and a contributor of the recent published OECD Review of Innovation Policy China. Dr. Can Huang is currently leading a team in UNU-MERIT for two EU FP7 projects on nanotechnology: ObservatoryNano and ICPCNanoNet.
